Bilston Craft Gallery
2011 marked ten years since moving to Britain and the idea behind the exhibition was to explore a personal cultural journey in search of a new identity seeking visual inspiration of beauty in the richness and treasures of both countries – Bulgaria and Britain.

22 May – 19 June 2010
Enchanted Forest
Bilston Craft Gallery
The exhibition was inspired by the charm and intriguing beauty of trees and forests. Textile and jewellery techniques were used to invite you to explore the growth – from buds and blossoms to mature trees, the change of light and seasons, to follow paths in the wood or stop by the broken gate or by the bridge. There were jewellery pieces hiding in the moss among the twigs or behind the trees. The embroidery pictures were specially creadted for the exhibition by the textile artist Ludmilla Hambrook.
